PURPOSE: A bi-direction television system and a remote controller therefor are provided to process the card payment integratedly by using the remote controller which supports the bi-directional data communication. CONSTITUTION: A key input unit(111) receives a control signal for controlling a TV set(130). An IR(Infrared Ray) transmission unit(113) transfers the inputted control signal to the TV set. An authentication unit(114) receives intrinsic information of a user. A settlement unit(115) receives payment means information corresponding to the user. The first to third interfaces(112,116,119) convert the intrinsic information and payment means information into a data packet. The first wireless communication unit(120) transmits the converted data packet to the TV set.
