PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a driving method thereof are provide to improve display quality by securing a charging time of a data signal charged in a liquid crystal cell sufficiently. CONSTITUTION: A timing controller drives a gate driver and a data driver. The timing controller generates a second driving frequency lower than a first driving frequency by converting the first driving frequency supplied from an external system. A frequency converter(153) modulates the inputted control signal. A data generator(160) realigns the data signal of the first driving frequency to the data signal of the second driving frequency using a modulated dot clock signal of the control signal modulated from the frequency converter.
