摘要 An aqueous binder for lithium ion battery and the preparation method thereof are provided. It belongs to the field of manufacture of energy storage components such as battery, etc. The said aqueous binder for lithium ion battery is an aqueous polymer latex with a solid content of 5∼40% and a viscosity of 200∼20000cP (40°C), which is obtained by grafting modification of polyvinyl alcohol or its acetal derivatives as base polymer with two or more kinds of monomers with different polarities as grafting monomers in water. The anode prepared with the said aqueous binder for lithium ion battery has a relatively high compact density and increases the volume energy density of the lithium ion battery. Besides, the dried electrode plate has a good softness, benefits the manufacture of batteries and increases the yield of battery production. Thus, the problems that the compact density of the anode of lithium ion battery is relatively low and the dried electrode plate is relatively brittle and has a poor softness are solved.
