PURPOSE: A manhole cover locking apparatus is provided to prevent a manhole cover from being stolen by locking the manhole cover automatically by close movement. CONSTITUTION: A manhole cover locking apparatus comprises a clasp(13) installed in a hinge box(11) of a manhole support(10) in horizontal direction, a hanging projection(23) formed on a bottom of a hinge connection(21) of a manhole cover, an opening groove, and an opening jig. A hanging end(14) of the clasp is inserted and hanged on the hanging projection. The opening groove formed on the hinge connection of the manhole cover is toward a front surface of the clasp. The opening jig inserted to the opening groove pushes the front surface of the clasp. |
