PURPOSE: An apparatus for compensating an image signal and a liquid crystal display device including the same are provided to improve display quality by reducing an error between a calculated DCC(Dynamic Capacitance Compensation) value and a really required compensation value. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(800) for compensating an image signal includes a lookup table(820) and an image signal compensating part(830). The lookup table has a reference data(f) arranged into a matrix shape according to combination of a first reference contrast and a second reference contrast. At least one of the data has a value different from the first reference contrast and the second reference contrast. The image signal compensating part successively receives a first image signal and a second image signal, receives a reference data corresponding to the first image signal and the second image signal from the lookup table, and compensates the second image signal through the reference data.
