PURPOSE: A propulsion system of a liquefied natural gas carrier in which an engine using double fuel is provided to connect directly a reducer and a propeller to the dual fuel engine, thereby reducing the energy loss. CONSTITUTION: A propulsion system of a liquefied natural gas carrier in which an engine using double fuel comprises a storage tank(100), a compressor(110), a double fuel engine(120), a propeller(140), a boiler(150), and a generator(160). The storage tank stores liquefied natural gas. The compressor compresses natural evaporation gas. The double fuel engine receives selectively one of the natural evaporation gas and fuel oil and operates. The propeller is directly installed in the output shaft of the double fuel engine. The boiler creates the steam of the high temperature. The generator is directly connected to the boiler. The generator generates electricity by using the created steam. |
