PURPOSE: A copper refining method is provided to reduce the production of Fe3O4 and consecutively the supply of cokes by supplying pig iron to the slag produced in a furnace. CONSTITUTION: A copper refining method comprises a step of supplying oxygen-enriched air, solvent and copper concentrate, not cokes, into a furnace, a step of supplying pig iron to the slag(60) produced in the furnace, and a step of adjusting the level of copper in a mat generated in the furnace to 64~69 weight%.
