PURPOSE: A portable computer with an auxiliary output apparatus and a method for displaying a location using the same are provided to realize a location display function using the auxiliary output apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A main control unit(11) controls a portable computer. A data storage unit(13) stores data including location information and address information corresponding to the location information. An auxiliary output device(20) comprises a memory unit(23), a GSP module(25) and a controller(21). The memory unit stores the location information and address information. The GSP module computes a current location. The controller compares the current location with the location information saved in the memory unit. The controller outputs corresponding address information through a display unit.
