The hammer has a peen (1) including parallelepiped and conical portions (2, 5) on its respective sides, where the portion (2) is provided with a tap hole (3) in which a handle (4) is engaged. The portion (5) is narrowed for being connected at the center of a striking plate (6) having a straight section that is larger than that of the portion (2), where the plate is in rectangular, square or round shape. The plate is provided with a flat or bulged striking surface, where radius of curvature of the surface is smaller than maximum radius of curvature of elastic deformation of a steel plate.
