The method comprises preparing a green formulation comprising a pigment composition and a metal charge, forming a colored area on the surface using the formulation, and applying an yttrium aluminum garnet (YAG) type laser beam on the colored area to form patterns by swelling the colored area along the outline of the beam. The colored area is formed by disposition of the formulation in the material forming an object and in a surface area of an object. The formulation further comprises a binder and the colored area is formed by applying a paint layer on the surface. The embossed patterns are covered of finish coating after the application of the laser beam. The path of the laser beam is formed by hatching the beam. An independent claim is included for an object with a smooth surface provided with patterns.
