The method involves enameling an interior surface of thermoplastic walls of an intake air distributing device for forming an enamel layer on the interior surface, where the enamel layer resists temperature greater than 240 degree Celsius. The interior surface defines an interior volume for directing a fresh air flow towards chambers of an internal combustion engine. The thickness of the enamel layer in a direction perpendicular to the interior surface is less than or equal to 5 mm, where the layer includes metal oxide.
