PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silica nano-particle containing a lanthanide complex capable of emitting fluorescent light. SOLUTION: The silica particle comprises at least one complex of at least one lanthanide and at least one ligand of formula (A) (wherein, -Z1to Z3each denote a group having an atom holding a lone electron pair and/or a negative charge; -R1to R12each denote hydrogen, an optionally substituted alkyl radical, an aryl radical, a halogen, a group of -OR13, or a group of -SR13).
