<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a puffer type gas circuit breaker capable of securely preventing generation of aluminum powder and melt loss by arc heat when an exhaust cylinder is formed of aluminum and SF6 gas is used as insulation gas. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The SF6 gas 2 is sealed and filled in a steel tank 1. The cylindrical exhaust cylinder 3 is formed of aluminum, and a fixed conductive contact 4 is connected to one end side of the cylinder 3. The fixed conductive contact 4 has a receiving port 5 pierced in the center of a curved surface, and the exhaust cylinder 3 has an aluminum oxide film 3a on its inner circumferential surface. The fixed arc contact 6 is provided inside the exhaust cylinder 3. The other end (tip end) of the fixed arc contact 6 is arranged to position inside the fixed conductive contact 4.
