<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carpet tile and a vinyl tile, which can be simply constructed on a floor, even if the material of the floor is rough or dust or the like is adhered to the floor, without soiling the floor surface while reducing intrusion of water or foreign matter through a joint part, and a manufacturing method and a laying method thereof. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The carpet tile or the vinyl tile has an adhesive layer having the thickness of 0.03 mm or more formed on two side surfaces opposed to each other in parallel. Such tiles are laid in a checkered pattern, whereby the unit carpet tiles or vinyl tiles can be mutually connected while preventing the slippage after laying and sealing the joint part.
