<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work vehicle for a steep slope, which enables a work vehicle body to efficiently perform operations without slipping on the inclined plane of the steep slope, which is excellent in stability and safety during the operations because its front, rear, right and left weights are well-balanced, and which can enhance durability by preventing an unreasonable burden from being imposed on a motor, because torque is evenly applied to a traveling motor and a chain driving motor. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The work vehicle body 1 includes lower machinery 2 in which right and left caterpillars 4 and 4 driven by the traveling motor are provided on both bradthwise sides of a lower frame, and upper machinery 8 which is mounted on a movable support body capable of being lifted and lowered by a hydraulic cylinder. Right and left wire storage devices 13 and 13 for housing lifting and lowering wires 26 and 26 are arranged in the lower frame in such a manner as to be positioned between the lower frame and the caterpillar 4.
