<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot dip galvanization treating method which is excellent in copper sulfate resistance test and has high productivity. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the hot dip galvanization treating method for an iron product, the iron product is immersed in a hot dip galvanizing bath, then the iron product is raised from the hot dip galvanizing bath, and the iron product is immersed in the cooling water after the iron product is cooled by air in the air for the prescribed time in such a manner that the ratio of the ζ alloy layer thickness (Tζ) to the total plating films thickness (T) reaches ≥50%.
