<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a Sugoroku game (Japanese traditional game similar to backgammon) having no restriction on the place where a die is cast and capable of being easily enjoyed even by a blind person. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An acceleration acquisition section 35 in a pronunciation control apparatus writes in a ring buffer 36: acceleration components ax, ay, and az detected by an acceleration sensor 21; and an acceleration absolute value obtained from those acceleration components ax, ay, and az. A CPU 40 emits a sound in a pronunciation mode showing a cast of the die 10 when a feature showing a falling collision of the die 10 with a board is detected. Further, if a feature showing that the die 10 begins to roll on the board is detected from succeeding waveforms, the surface turning upward is detected based on the acceleration components ax, ay, and az written in the ring buffer 36 at one subsequent time and a sound in a pronunciation mode showing the surface is emitted.
