<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thinned fixing mechanism for fixing an expansion card such as an IO card for hot insertion/extraction, which enhances electromagnetic shielding by using screws and which is simple in structure and is easy to manufacture. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The fixing mechanism includes pins 7 fixed to the housing 1 side and arms 5 each of which pivots on a respective one of the pins 7. One end of each arm 5 is put on a respective one of the pins 7 and a shoulder screw 6 is provided in the other end of the arm 5 in such a manner as not to come off from the arm 5. With brackets 3 disposed at sites in the housing 1 where the brackets 3 are to be screwed, the arms 5 are turned and the brackets 3 are screwed and fastened to the housing 1 by means of the shoulder screws 6.
