PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device and the recording method which have antithetic features such that a liquid proper quantity can be increased while discharging a liquid from the same nozzle continuously and stably, and discharging the liquid at a high speed without reducing the discharging speed, and recording a high definition image at a high speed, and the productivity becomes higher owing to the synergistic effect. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording device includes a recording head wherein two or more pressure chambers communicating with the nozzle for discharging an ink are adjacent. When performing the discharging by applying a driving signal having a Draw pulse for enlarging the volume of the above pressure chamber to the recording head by a drive frequency of 20 kHz or more, this inkjet recording device keeps the extrusion quantity of the above nozzle at the meniscus position in applying the Draw pulse larger than 0 and 30% or less of the diameter of the nozzle opening.
