<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum breaker for fitting a pipe line which is free from any leakage of a liquid therefrom and is capable of rapidly discharging the liquid remaining in the pipe line after feeding the liquid. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The vacuum breaker for fitting the pipe line comprises a lower casing 1 having a connection part to the pipe line on its lower end, an upper casing 2 of the cylindrical shape to be fitted into an upper part of the lower casing, a disk-shaped valve element 3 which is stored in the lower casing to keep a lower end opening part of the upper casing in a blocked state or a communicated state by the vertical movement, a bell-shaped float 4 which is arranged below the valve element, pushed up by the liquid flowing in from the connection part, and abutted on a lower side of the valve element to press it, and a spiral spring which is provided around a shaft part extending upwardly from a center of the valve element, and urged in the extending direction with one end thereof being fixed to a disk-shaped spring-fixing part arranged on a fore end of the shaft part and the other end thereof being fixed to a disk-shaped spring fixing part fixed to a lower inner wall of the upper casing and having a through-hole through which the shaft part is vertically movable at its center part.
