Electrical connector for connecting to the contacts of an integrated printed circuit

The PCB (10) has an upper surface (14) with conducting tracks on which the connector (16) is mounted. The connector is made of insulating material with electrical contacts (26,26') standing proud above the upper surface (36) of the connector to connect with contact tabs on the principal surface of the board. The electrical contacts join to a flexible elastic lower section (44) which stands proud of the lower surface and engages with conducting tracks when the lower surface of the connector body (20,22,24) is applied to the upper surface of the PCB. A straight section (46,46') connecting with the middle section (28,28') has an elbow (50,50') to form an elastic hinge to allow the section to pivot about an axis (XX').
