The roof has an upper roof part (1), a rear window (4) and a movement mechanism including front and rear connecting rods (5, 6) that are fixedly hinged at an end of a vehicle. The connecting rods are hinged at the upper roof part at another end of the vehicle. The rear window is fixedly connected with the front connecting rod. The front connecting rod is connected with the rear window in a connecting section by connecting elements. The upper roof part and the rear window are placed in a folding top storage area e.g. luggage compartment, in an opened position of the roof.
