PURPOSE: A method for isolating and purifying plasmid DNA of high purity is provided to remove RNA and DNA fragments and improve purity of the plasmid DNA. CONSTITUTION: A method for isolating and purifying plasmid DNA of high purity comprises: a process of isolating nucleic acid extract from transformant; and a step of adding activated charcoal to the extract, stirring, centrifuging then collecting plasmid DNA from supernatant. The transformant is transformed host cell transformed by the plasmid DNA. The host cell is E.coli.
