<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor and an image processing method for dividing an area in a digital image. <P>SOLUTION: This image processor includes: an image acquisition means for acquiring an image data of an original image; and an image processing means for separating a background pixel of the original image from a foreground pixel thereof, and the image processing means includes: the first image dividing means for dividing the original image into a plurality of the first image segments, based on the image data; the second image dividing means for dividing the original image into a foreground segment and a background segment, based on image distance information of the image data; and an image division establishing means for establishing a foreground pixel area and a background pixel area of the original image, by determining that each of the plurality of first image segments divided by the first image dividing means belongs to any of the foreground segment and the background segment divided by the second image dividing means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
