METHOD FOR SPECIFYING QUALITY EVENT OF MEDIA STREAM, TERMINAL, COMMUNICATION NODE DEVICE AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, etc. which instantly specify a quality event of a terminal for controlling the case where a hierarchy control is executed for a media stream encoded hierarchically by a communication node device provided between media distribution server terminals.

SOLUTION: The terminals measure the quality event in the media stream to be received from the communication node device. A first terminal sends its own first quality event by a multicast. Next, a second terminal which has received the first quality event sends a second quality event by the multicast only when its own second quality event is deteriorated more than the first quality event. These are repeated, and the communication node device controls a hierarchical number of the media stream to be sent to all the terminals based on the quality event received finally from the one or more terminals.
