A method (100) is proposed for avoiding alias effects in optical recognition of transport containers (BC), in particular of beverage crates, each provided with at least one graphical identification (LBL), wherein, by means of a camera, a photographic recording (PIC) is made (130) at least of that part of the transport container (BC) which is provided with the optical identification (LBL). The invention proposes that the optical unit (O) of the camera is set (120) to a defined unsharpness, which is determined by means of an image processing (110) involving the determination of a length (KL) of edge transitions of black-white edges. As a result, particularly in an automatic machine for return of empties, it is possible to significantly improve the optical recognition of transport containers in the form of beverage crates. |
