The piston (1) has a turbulence element (2a) provided with an electrical resistor and heated by stimulated electric current within the turbulence element at a preset temperature. The turbulence element is arranged above a body in a piston head (4) in such a way that the body forms a turbulence chamber in connection with the element. A power source is directly connected with the turbulence element for producing preset electric current. The piston comprises a sliding contact that is connected with the turbulence element and an electrical contact in a combustion engine. An independent claim is also included for an internal combustion engine.
