<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for a model-based diagnostic interface. <P>SOLUTION: A method for preparing the model-based diagnostic interface 112 is provided for a system 102 having system information 114, and a system data 106 expressing a state of the system 102.
