<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller of an electric motor capable of stably performing switching from a forced synchronous operation to a sensorless position control at an early stage. <P>SOLUTION: The controller of the electric motor includes a microcomputer 2 which switches from forced synchronous drive control to sensorless position control for performing position control without using a sensor through counter electromotive voltage detection.
