PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for preventing the leakage of data caused when a recording medium such as USB memory is left inserted in an image forming apparatus such as a multi-function device. SOLUTION: In the multi-function device, if the insertion of a USB memory is recognized, data in the USB memory are transferred to a storage of the multi-function device (step S106).
