<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating rotor capable of preventing temperature from rising beyond necessity. <P>SOLUTION: A temperature sensing roll 102 has: a multilayered roll 107 generating heat due to electromagnetic induction of magnetic field H and reducing its magnetic permeability from magnetic permeability change starting temperature in a temperature zone being heating set temperature or more and heat resisting temperature or less continuously; and a slit 109 formed in the multilayered roll 107. Here, since the magnetic field H generated by an exciting coil 110 intrudes into a temperature sensing layer 103 of the multilayered roll 107, this heating rotor attempts to let the temperature sensing layer 103 generate heat. However, since a large flow of eddy current that the temperature sensing layer 103 attempts to generate is shut down by the slit 109, a heating value due to self-heat generation of the temperature sensing layer 103 can be reduced down to such extent that a heating value of a heat generating layer 140 is not adversely affected.
