<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable having lower friction while keeping high flame retardancy. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The optical fiber cable 1 comprises: a coated optical fiber 3; tension members 5 following along the coated optical fiber 3; and a jacket 7 coating the coated optical fiber 3 and the tension members 5, wherein a plurality of dimples 9 are formed on the surface of the jacket 7. A plurality of projections having a convex curved face may be formed on the surface of the jacket. It is preferable that the jacket 7 is made from high density polyethlene resin.
