In a method transmitting user's own voice through a speaker provided in an automatic telephone upon hearing sound peripheral the automatic answering telephone, a voice warning method using the telephone includes the steps of: sensing an input of a ring signal from an exchange through a station line in a state that an automatic answering mode is set; counting the ring number of times, if the ring signal is input and, forming a telephone loop for performing the automatic answering function to transmit an answering message, thereby performing the automatic answering function, if it is more than a given ring number of times; sensing that a predetermined secrete number is input during performing the automatic answering function and then, stopping the automatic answering function, if an input secrete number is correct in case that it is input; sensing that a dial input signal for hearing the peripheral sound is input during a set stand-by time, and driving a microphone to make the other to hear the peripheral sound, if it is input; and sensing that the dial input signal for transmitting the voice of the caller is input during hearing the peripheral sound, and driving a speaker so that the transmission from the caller may be possible, if it is input.
