<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator which, when it is incorporated into an imaging apparatus, can secure narrow framing and impact resistance of the imaging apparatus, and has a simple configuration compared with the conventional actuator. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The actuator 1 includes: a first member 2; a second member 3 disposed inside the first member 2; and connecting portions 4 for connecting the first member 2 to the second member 3. The connecting portions 4 each have a shape memory alloy 7 which changes the relative positions of the first and second members 2 and 3 when these connecting portions 4 bend. The second member 3 is displaced relative to the first member 2 by heating the shape memory alloys 7 through the supply of power thereto and bending the connecting portions 4.
