Moldless molding for producing molded articles of three-dimensional construction from a fluidized molding material without any mold. The method comprises feeding a fluidized molding material P onto a work table (11) in such a way as to shape the same into a lump which includes an entire article to be molded and has a volume approximately amounting to the outside profile of the article, solidifying the fluidized molding material P on the work table (11) and then performing machining, by which the fluidized molding material P is decreased in volume. Unnecessary portions can be removed from the molding material fed in a lump by the use of an NC machine tool or the like to mold an article, so that it is possible to mold an article with high molding accuracy in a short time. In addition to not marring such advantage, a moldless molding apparatus can perform manufacture selectively in combination with an existing NC machine tool, material feeding mechanism and material uniting mechanism, thereby making manufacture easy and inexpensive. Accordingly, the apparatus is suitable for molding an article (product, sample and the like) with a fluidized molding material having a three-dimensional construction without any mold, and can be used for molding a mold for molding with various molding materials.
