If a user authentication process is executed and a user authentication processing state is ended, it is determined whether or not a USB device is attached. If a USB device is attached, then it is determined whether or not there exists job execution history of the USB device. If there exists job execution history of the USB device, that is, if job execution history for the USB device exists in a job history management table, the attachment of the USB device having the job execution history is released.
