PURPOSE: A paper shredder having a compression device for waste paper chips is provided to minimize scattering dust while reducing the volume of the paper shredder by compressing the waste paper chips with a screw. CONSTITUTION: A paper shredder(10) having a compression device comprises a box-shaped case(100) in which a paper inlet(110) is formed, a cutting device(200) cutting the waste paper chips by a driving motor(220) and a cutting blade(210), and a waste paper box(300). The space part(310) is formed on the top of the waste paper box. A guide part(321) is formed on the bottom of the spaced part. A screw(322) is formed on the bottom of the guide part. A waste paper chip outlet(323) is formed on an end of a compression receiving part(320). The compression receiving part includes a case inclination part(323d), a lead part(323c), a cap(323a), and a spring hinge(323b).
