IMAGE DATA SUPPLY SYSTEM AND IMAGE SERVER

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data supply system and an image server which can supply diagnostic image data having a high data compression rate and a high data security.

SOLUTION: When the diagnostic image data of a body to be inspected is supplied to an image viewer 4 for reading the diagnostic image data from the image server 2 for collecting and storing various kinds of diagnostic image data, a data compression part 25 of the image server 2 supplies difference compression data obtained by the compression process of difference data of the diagnostic image data and first previously stored reference image data to the image viewer 4 together with identifying information of the first reference image data. An image data restoring part 44 of the image viewer 4 restores the diagnostic image data by the addition process of difference data obtained by the expansion process of the difference compression data supplied form the image server 2 and second reference image data substantially equal to the first reference image data read from a reference image data storing part 43 on the basis of the identifying information and displays the restored diagnostic image data on an image data display part 45.
