<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking device of a motorcycle capable of enhancing flexibility in the design of arrangement of a brake caliper with respect to a swing arm. <P>SOLUTION: A motorcycle has a caliper 72 for a rear brake which supports a rear wheel axle 46 of a rear wheel 45 by a rear wheel axle supporting part 38 of a swing arm 35 suitable for a motorcycle body, and applies the braking force to a brake disk 48 of a rear wheel 45, and a swing arm extension part 36 extending backwardly at the upward gradient from the rear wheel axle supporting part 38 on the swing arm 35. A forwardly recessed part is formed on a lower side 39b of the swing arm extension part 36 in side view. A caliper 72 for the rear brake is arranged in the recess. Outward expansion of the caliper 72 for the rear brake is suppressed while maintaining the maintainability of the caliper 72 for the rear brake. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
