<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of separating only a cartridge to be replaced from the other cartridges for replacement when the proper replacement time of a plurality of connected cartridges comes. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device includes: a plurality of image forming parts each composed of the first cartridge and the second cartridge, which can form image when both of them are mounted in this device, and can allow replacement of both of them when they are removed from this device; an openable and closable device case body having a structure storing them and combining a plurality of wall bodies and separating one wall body among a plurality of wall bodies from the other wall bodies; and individual biasing parts provided among a plurality of image forming parts and one wall body and moving and biasing the second cartridges in a plurality of image forming parts in the direction for letting them leave the first cartridges individually in the interlocking relationship with its opening and closing operation. The image forming device determines whether replacement of each of the first cartridge and the second cartridge is necessary or not, drives the individual biasing part in accordance with the results of determination, and lets the second cartridge requiring the replacement leave the first cartridge. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
