PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diffusion member for display which can enhance the brightness and the uniformity of light rays made incident through a light guide plate, is excellent in photoconduction function and can secure stability. SOLUTION: In the diffusion member for display, a first pattern for converting an incident light from a light source to a surface light source is provided on one side surface opposed to the light source of the diffusion member, a second pattern for converting the pitch and the angle of the incident light through the first pattern is provided on the back surface of one side surface and the pitch and the depth of the second pattern are settled by the distance from the light source in the X-axial direction.
