PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pinball game machine capable of making a player more interested in the play by changing the presentation. SOLUTION: When a game ball enters a starting hole, a win/miss determining random number and a win/miss kind determining random number are obtained and the variable display of symbols is started. The variable display is stopped with symbols corresponding to the random numbers. The time of variable display of symbols is determined by using a variation pattern table. When a game ball enters the starting hole during the variable display of symbols, the random numbers obtained when the game ball enters the starting hole are stored as reservation. At the time, whether the reservation is a special reservation or not is determined based on the random numbers. When the reservation is the special reservation, the variation pattern is determined by using a special variation pattern table. In this way, the content of presentation can be changed only in the period till the special reservation is consumed, and therefore, the player can play expecting that something must happen.
