PURPOSE: A thermal element scale removal method of a heat exchanger for a flue gas desulfurization system is provided to dip scale into a caustic soda solution and easily wash the scale through cleaning water of high pressure and high temperature, thereby improving heat exchange efficiency of the flue gas desulfurization system. CONSTITUTION: Plural thermal elements are laminated within a case. In an upper part of the thermal element, boiler fuel gas flows in. In a lower part, fuel gas of an absorbing tower flows in. The thermal element where scales are piled is dipped into a caustic soda solution of a constant temperature. The thermal element is washed through cleaning water of high temperature and high pressure.
