OPTICAL FILM ELIMINATING PROTECTIVE FILMS AND PREPARING THEREOF

PURPOSE: An optical film and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve productivity by omitting a removal process of a protective film in a manufacturing process of a backlight unit. CONSTITUTION: A lens type function layer is formed to a surface of an optical film. A top sheet is attached to a top part of the lens type function layer of the optical film. An adhesive interface(600) is formed by attaching the top sheet to a top part of the lens type function layer. An air layer(500) is formed to a bottom part of the top sheet and a top part of the lens type function layer except for the adhesive interface. A minute cavity part(130) for protecting the optical film is formed to a rear surface or a surface of the optical film, and has scratch resistance. The lens type function layer has a prism shape. A pitch of the prism is 150~230um. A height of the prism is 70~120um.
