PURPOSE: A double-headed piston type swash plate compressor is provided to prevent deterioration of strength of a rotary shaft by forming a connecting path, for connecting a rotary shaft receiving hole with a suction chamber, in a cylinder block. CONSTITUTION: A double-headed piston type swash plate compressor(10) comprises a cylinder block(11), a double-headed piston(37), a rotary shaft(29), a swash plate(31), a shaft rod device(30), a compression chamber(35a), a suction chamber, an induction path, and a rotary valve(42). The cylinder block has a plurality of cylinder bores(35). The double-headed piston is slidably inserted into the cylinder bore. The swash plate reciprocates the double-headed piston within the cylinder bore. The shaft rod device is formed between a front housing(13) and the rotary shaft. The induction path inhales refrigerant from the suction chamber to the compression chamber. The induction path comprises a connecting path, an inhalation path(41), and a groove shape path(39). The connecting path connects the suction chamber and a rotary shaft receiving hole. The suction path connects the rotary shaft receiving hole and the compression chamber. The groove shape path connects the connecting path and the inhalation path.
