<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and a driving method thereof, achieving high-speed drive while having correction capability substantially the same as that of current programming. <P>SOLUTION: The selection period for programming is divided into a first selection period, a second selection period and a third selection period to perform programming in three stages. In the first selection, a voltage signal corresponding to a current of a specified gradation is supplied from a data line to perform pre-charging. During the second period immediately after that, a current signal of a specified gradation is supplied from the data line.
