PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which contributes to environmental conservation and effective use of resources. SOLUTION: The control section of the image forming apparatus controls a paper feed section so as to select a paper feeding tray in which a recycled paper is stored (step S50), when it is decided that a recovered toner use mode button is selected in the operation picture of a user (step S40). The control section forms an image on the recycled paper by using recovered toner (step S70), when it is decided that a button for selecting the paper feeding tray in which a regular paper except the recycled paper is stored is not selected by the user, after the recovered toner use mode button has been selected (step S60).
