<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter medium to be installed and used in a rotary basket of a centrifuge for solid-liquid separation and capable of completely preventing contamination of foreign matter derived from the filter medium without leakage of a slurry. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a conventional filter medium for a centrifuge comprising aggregate 1 of a long mesh-like elastic belt plate and a filter cloth 2 so fixed as to cover the front face of the aggregate 1 and form a filtration face, the upper end of the filter cloth 2 is stitched and fixed in the rear face of the aggregate 1 and then the filter cloth is turned around to the front face of the aggregate 1 and further the lower end is fixed in the rear face of the aggregate 1 by engaging means 3, so that the filtration face is made to be a smooth face where the stitches are not at all exposed.
