PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device with a camera having a simple configuration and enabling a user to monitor indoors without causing the user to be conscious. SOLUTION: The display device with a camera is provided with: a receiving section for receiving broadcast waves; a decoder for decoding the broadcast waves received by the receiving section and outputting broadcast data; an image photographing section for photographing images of the surrounding and outputting image photographing data; a storage section for storing the broadcast data output from the decoder or the image photographing data output from the image photographing section; an output section for outputting the broadcast data output from the decoder or the broadcast data stored in the storage section; and a control section for receiving an operation command by a user and controlling the decoder, the imaging section, the storage section and the output section in accordance with the command. The control section controls the storage section so that the storage section stores the image photographing data output from the image photographing section except the time where a specific operation based on the operation command from the user is performed.
