<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent data from being destroyed due to that a shared disk is accessed by a plurality of servers when failover occurs among the plurality of servers. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When a server 20 performs write access to a master area 11, a disk driver 23 registers the area to which the write access is applied in a first bit map table. When discontinuity of a predetermined packet is detected, cluster software 32 sets access right in a server 30 in an access right management table 12. Then, the cluster software 32 copies data stored in the area registered in the first bit map table to a log area. If the area to be accessed is registered in the first bit map table when accessing the master area 11 after setting the access right in the server 30, a disk driver 33 accesses the log area.
